2010 Summer Horse Camp

The camp is open to children ages 6-12.

The experienced Camp Masters use their expertise to teach the students everything they need to know to properly care for a horse.  They will learn to feed, bathe, groom, saddle, bridle, lunge, and clean a stall.  Our camps offer a unique "hands on" approach specifically designed to provide a thorough introduction to every aspect of good horsemanship.

In addition, each student will receive an individual 20-25 minute lesson per day, which includes bareback riding!

Children also work to develop their fine motor skills by working on horse themed crafts such as: stained glass horse art, wall ornaments, western themed door knob decor, and creating customized tail bags to be used during grooming sessions.

We'll also cook horse treats, and play games like bingo and horse trivia.  Each cowgirl and cowboy will receive their own cowboy hat the first day of camp and receive discounted prices on lesson packages.

Parents are welcome to stop in anytime throughout the camp session and observe the activities.  The last day parents are encouraged to watch their child's lesson.  We request that each child wear cowboy boots, and long pants.  Helmets will be provided at the barn or you may bring your own.
